Entry #1: Worship and how we do it effectively

 Hi everyone! My name is Austin Manore and like stated in my latest "Practice Entry blog" I really love worship! If you have ever been to a church before you know that at the start of usually every service they have something called "worship." This is where we sing and declare God's truth through song! In today's blog we are going to discover where I do worship and how can do it correctly with the right heart!

To begin, you might be wondering, "What church do you go to Austin?" Well glad you asked, I attend a church call Christ Church Of the Valley (CCV). Here there are so many opportunities to serve, but the area I have the opportunity to be in is the worship area so I know all about it!


Now that we have where I attend for worship all covered. How do we worship effectively and with pure hearts? Well in order to know how to do something effectively we have to start with what it is, so according to https://www.desiringgod.org, "True worship is a valuing or a treasuring of God above all things." We have to have God already at the center of our life and make sure that we are treasuring Him above all other aspects of life! Another factor that could help with worshiping effectively is understanding where our worship stems from. For example, if we worship an idol of our own creation like the music being played, then we are not really worshipping God, we are worshiping ourselves and what we want. Instead we should be worshiping from a spirit of truth and whatever pleases God. We have to have the right mental grasp of the way God is - which is truth!


So overall, worship is to know God truly and then respond from the heart to that knowledge by valuing God, treasuring Him, prizing Him, enjoying Him, and being satisfied in our God above all earthly things!

    This blog is amazing. Personally I have recently I have gotten back into reading my bible and really being with god through prayer. So, this blog is very important for me to know some steps that I need to learn more about church even though I used to go when I was younger.

Practice Entry #1: Worship blog

 This is a blog about blogs and blogging! I have to be honest, I've never blogged before. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever even read a blog before today. So, my lack of blogging experience makes me the perfect "test subject" on what makes a great blog, what draws people to certain blogs, and what brings them back to the blog.  A little more about me: I love Jesus-centered worship.
