Entry #2
Hi! It's Austin Manore again! Thanks for joining! In today's blog I'll be talking music (again)! Have you ever overflowed with anticipation for your favorite artist to release a new album? Then listened to it over and over again? Well if you're into music like me, then you certainly have. Phil Wickham is my jam. In this blog, let's talk about why Phil Wickham's new album, "Song Of The Saints," is arguably his best!
For starters, Phil Wickham makes the first song of his album a real "banger" (for those of another generation, that means "really good")! The song is called "So So Good." The song, essentially, promotes God's goodness and asks us to consider God's faithfulness. "So So Good" is the type of song that turns your frown upside down on a rough day. The title of the song says it all (check out my link below to judge for yourself).
Next up, is Wickham's song "Able." Let me tell you, "Able" is AMAZING! The lyrics are straight from the Bible itself (God's words). "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." This verse can fire you up; but, when Phil puts it to song, you'll want to jump for joy and praise God for who He is and what He does!
Finally, there's "Resurrection Story." This song is, arguably, the album's "chart-topper." To be fair, every song on the album is amazing, but this song does it all! The lyrics draw us to our brokenness (we are dead in our sins) and then draws us to the healing that Jesus brings through His resurrection from the grave! Phil reminds us that God gets all the glory for our "Resurrection Story." What a powerful song! Did I mention it turns your frown upside down?
Now, I know I only mentioned three of Phil's 16 songs; but, if those three songs were the only songs on the album "Song of the Saints," it would still excite those that populate heaven! "Why," you may ask? Well, because there has never been any other album in Phil Wickham's career that can change someone's life and make them want to get out of bed and start dancing. Like I mentioned in my last blog ("Entry #1"), "Music is therapy." If you take the time to put the headphones in (or, on) and listen to "Song Of The Saints" by Phil Wickham with a heart to find Jesus, your life will be changed forever! Wickham's songs are linked below--and they're available to you for free!
